Talk Title: The Truth about Passwords ...and why humans cant (and shouldnt) be trusted with them

Talk Abstract:
Passwords are everywhere, being both a bane and a boon to security professionals and regular folk alike. What we dont know about passwords can hurt us, and the intent of this talk is to pull back the veil in an easy to understand manner, so that participants can understand what differentiates "good" passwords from "bad", and how your password can either protect or expose you. This talk includes both academic concepts (hashing, salting, encryption) as well as technical demonstrations (hashcat, API calls, wordlists).
